Green Park Village is set to get a Tesco store, with plans submitted to Reading Borough Council (RBC).
The new development of hundreds of homes in south Reading is already home to a school, which opened last year, a community hall and market square, care homes, restaurants and a health and fitness centre.
A new train station – Green Park – is set to open next year, although plans have already been delayed several times.
