A TRIAL DATE has been set for a duo charged with the murder and abuse of a one-month-old baby.
James Lawton, of Boreham Field, Warminster, Wiltshire, and Chantelle Stroud, of Ashridge Court, Newbury both appeared at Reading Crown Court today (July 1) following the death of one-month-old Colby Lawton in May 2020.
Lawton, 27, was charged with the murder of Colby, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent in May 2021.

He denies both charges.
Stroud, 25, was charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and two counts of cruelty to a person under the age of sixteen in June 2021.
She denied all three charges.
Both defendants are expected to stand trial at Reading Crown Court on Monday, November 1.
The trial is expected to last up to five weeks.
