A MAN from Newbury has been legally banned from swearing or shouting, after a court order was extended recently.
Peter Kelly, 51, of London Road, Newbury, appeared in Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, July 21.

Kelly already had a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) put in place on July 24, 2018, and it has since been extended.
This is due to Kelly breaching this order multiple times during the initial term.
As a result of this, for three years, Kelly is not legally allowed to drink alcohol or be in possession of an open container of alcohol in Newbury's Town Centre, and he is also legally prohibited from Shouting, swearing, using abusive or threatening language to any persons including police officers and community support officers.
Investigating officer, PC Jon Bradford from Newbury Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This hopefully sends out a message that this kind of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in Newbury.

"The extension of Kelly’s CBO is required to protect the public and the police from his persistent anti-social behaviour.
“I would also ask that if anyone witnesses any anti-social behaviour, it is reported to the local neighbourhood team via 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
