Reading is one of the best town's for access to mental health support, a new study reveals.
With 42 per cent of people in the UK waiting three months for initial mental health support, a new report has analysed towns and cities up and down the country to discover how accessible mental health support is in each.
The report, from Supplement Place, looks into: counsellors and psychologists per population, mental health support spending, wait times and costs.

The report reveals that Reading has the easiest access to counsellors and psychologists with 17 chartered psychologists in the town and 385 counsellors and therapists located within 15 miles of the Reading.
This means there are almost 10 Psychologists per 100,000 people.
The research also reveals that clinical or counselling psychologists costs between £120 to £180 per session and private counselling costs between £10 to £70 per session.

10 per cent of people wait between 1-2 years for an initial mental health assessment and 42 per cent of people wait up to three months for an initial mental health assessment.
