Reviewer Linda0001 said: "This is the McDonald’s to come to. They serve your food and they totally look after you. You can work here, chill here and just watch the world go by. All the staff are excellent and led by a superb manager. The menu is varied and in particular the ice cream is good. Highly recommend."
However, Nomad said: "Three times on the trot now there's been stuff missing in the bag , won’t be going there again, will make the trip to Oxford road."
McDonald's Reading Gate Retail Park - 3/5
Unit 8 Reading Gate Retail Park, Reading RG2 0QG

Richard called it the Rolls Royce of McDonald's and said "We had our lunch here on a Friday, electronic ordering system, no fuss and no bothering and accuracy of the order is not an issue. Clean, friendly and very well maintained. Not far from the football stadium so can be busy. I recommend this branch of McDonald's and is so much better than some of the others I have visited."

However, a poor review was left by Brian, who said: "I'm not exactly expecting 5 star service from McDonald's however this is by far the worst I've visited.
My chips were put in the bag upside down and there was a hole in the bottom of the bag... no chips for me then!
My burger was all mashed up as it hadn't been put together or in the box properly."
Savacentre Bath Road, Calcot 2.5/5
39 reviews
This restaurant has more bad reviews then good.
One reviewer said: "Every single time I go through the drive through the que is gigantic. And every single time they give me stone cold food and just shrug when I ask how long ago it was cooked. Terrible service and presumably there ovens don't work."
But another reviewer said it was the best McDonald's they had been too. They said: "I was greeted by a very clean store - even though they were very busy - and a cheery assistant on the self-service. After I ordered, which was straightforward, I was only sat for ~2 minutes before my meal came."
McDonald's Chalfont Way, Reading - 2.5/5
25 reviews
Customers have praised the staff at this McDonald's for their great service.
Mark said: "Not much to say except it was a good Mcdonalds. Hot food. Good staff . All it should be really. Will come back again when in the area."
However, others like Richard said there are better places to eat in Reading than this Mcdonald's.
He said: "Why would you go to this place when there are so many alternatives to eat in when in Reading. Grow up people, experiment, be brave. Go spend a few pounds more, literally, any where but here!"
McDonald's Friar Street, Reading - 2.5/5 stars
39 reviews
This branch has 12 terrible reviews on TripAdviser and two excellent ones.
Tommy said: "Popped in with my boyfriend for a late bite to eat and quite possibly the worst McDonald's I've ever been in."
However, Ed reviewed the place after a night out and said: "Found this gem after a night out in Reading. I was quickly served by a friendly computer who offered good suggestions of what was new on the menu. Went for the big tasty for mains; which was delicious. Also had some fries on the side. While a bit salty they are massively improved by the tomato sauce on the side. Place was also packed which meant I had to sit on the floor outside but still had a great atmosphere. I give a solid 11/10."
McDonald's, Oxford Road, Reading - 2.5/5
20 reviews
Despite having little reviews this branch in Reading had just five good reviews. The rest were rated either poor or terrible.
One person said: "I passed through McDonald's in Oxford St, Reading and bought breakfast. Whilst my son was eating he found a dead insect that looks like a fly in the food. We were disgusted and felt sick by the sight of it. When I alerted one of the staff she just snatched it off my hands saying “I’ll change it”. I firmly refused and asked for a manager and a young lady came and flicked the fly off the food. Again I protested and she called the manager (Grace) who was apologetic and offered us a replacement. I explained that the meal fell beyond our expectations given the reputation of McDonald's. I will Lodge an official complaint with their management as this is not acceptable."
Other reviews said the food is 'up to the usual standard'.
A positive review said: "My friend and I had a craving for a big Mac and fries. The food was up to the usual standard, piping hot and it was a treat.
"It was just under 5 pounds which included my value milk and milkshake cost supplements. The lady serving was very sweet and is overall the place was pretty clean and functional in the way one would expect."
McDonald's Oracle Riverside - 3.5/5

There were only two reviews for the Oracle's McDonald's restaurant, which is surprising considering how many people visit there each day.
The reviews are pretty average so make of them what you will.
One person said: "However I was served relatively quickly and they seemed to be very organised with the amount of orders they were taking.
"Food seemed hot and cooked. Ok for McDonald's."
Another customer added: "Yes it was OK for a quick one off early lunch. It was busy and the staff were hard pressed but they seemed to cope in a friendly manner.
