A man from Tilehurst was arrested yesterday evening in the Wesley Methodist churchyard.

Thames Valley Police responded to reports in Watlington Street, Reading at around 11.40pm yesterday.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing two paramedics, around five police officers and a number of police vehicles at the scene. 

Today, Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a 41-year-old man from Tilehurst was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear and criminal damage.

He remains in custody at this time.
