TRAVELLERS have set up an illegal encampment at a park in Reading.
A number of caravans have parked up in Palmer Park, Reading and have been there for two weeks.
Reading Borough Council said they are aware of the new encampment and have served the camp with legal notices to leave the site.

A spokesman said: “The illegal traveller encampment in Palmer Park has been issued with legal notices to leave the land and we now await a date from the courts in order to progress with the eviction.
"Our Police partners are aware and all reports of anti social behaviour should be directed to the Police on 101.

Travellers have also pitched up in other sites across Reading including Victoria Recreation Ground after they were told to leave John Rabson Recreation Ground by the council last month.
The legal process to move this camp on has also started.
