Reading has been named as one of the top five cheapest cities to buy a pint in the UK, according to the latest data.
The data was provided by Holidu, the holiday rental company, stating that Reading scored fifth on the list of the cheapest cities in the UK to buy a pint of beer, with the average costing £3.70.

This is compared to cities such as Swansea, where a mere £3.50 will buy you a beer, or the cheapest city to drink in, Inverness, at a mere £3.10.
Contrarily, some of the most expensive cities to buy a pint in were named as Edinburgh where it costs £4.40, or Brighton where a pint costs £4.10 on average.
A Spokesman for Holidu explained the methodology, saying: "The Pub Beer Price Index assesses the price of a variety of beers in pubs in 30 UK cities and the top 50 tourist destinations for Brits, revealing the price differentiation for a pint of beer around the country and further afield.
"For each UK city, the study collected prices from the top rated pub as well as a Wetherspoons pub.

"The results shine a light on the cities that tourists to the UK are likely to pay more for a pint in, compared to a local drinker with a more intimate knowledge of where to drink economically."
