Kadeem Harris is now highly unlikely to join Reading FC this summer.
The Reading Chronicle understands that the winger was informed yesterday he is free to leave and continue his search for a new club.
The 28-year-old has been training with the first team on a trial basis but it is now understood that the club has decided not to pursue Harris' signature further.
Harris is currently a free agent having been released by Sheffield Wednesday following their relegation to League One.
Reading completed their first move of the transfer window yesterday, announcing the season-long loan capture of promising Watford midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru.
The Royals have also been linked with former Nottingham Forest left-back Yuri Ribeiro this week.
