A LUCKY NHS worker was left in 'complete shock' after being told she had won a brand new MINI Electric car.
Jade Melhuish from Theale, Reading has been announced as the winner of a brand new MINI Electric, thanks to a competition she entered at TGI Fridays.
The mum lives with her partner Jamie and two children Jacob, 9 and Mason, 6.
She entered into the prize draw when booking a table to celebrate the end of a hard year with colleagues last Christmas.
Jade was randomly selected as the winner from almost 250,000 entrants.

She said: “I entered the competition when booking a table for a meal and cocktails with work mates at our local Fridays, so when I received the call from the Fridays team that I had won I was in complete shock. I actually almost didn’t believe it was true until I received the email confirming everything, and had read it through - twice! Saying that, I was so happy and coming after such a challenging year working for the NHS throughout the pandemic, it was even more special.
The car was delivered last week to much excitement from the whole family following the competition closing on Wednesday, June 30.
Ms Melhuish added: "I cannot believe the car is now sitting on my drive. I knew I would cry when it arrived, and I did! I felt and still feel like the luckiest person alive! Like, who wins a car?

“I’d also like to say thanks to George from Stephen James Ruxley MINI for my amazing sketch of the car and talking me through it all on the day it was delivered. I still honestly can’t believe it’s here and is mine.”
Robert Cook, Fridays chief executive, said: “We want to share a massive congratulations with Jade from the whole Fridays team – we are delighted that such a deserving person has won our competition.
"We hope to see the whole family pulling up to Fridays Reading very soon!”
