Children who love puzzles will love to work out how to escape from these realistic scenarios.
There is a range of different Escape Rooms from Mad Scientist, Prison Break, 9-5 Assassin and The Curious Cabin.
You have to try to escape within 60 minutes, working in a team to complete puzzles, riddles and search for clues.
It is fun for the whole family but children must be 12 or over.
The Museum of English Rural Life
Redlands Road, University of Reading, Reading RG1 5EX
The Museum of English Rural Life is one of the best things to do in Reading according to the review website.
Whether on your own or with friends and family, you can discover immersive galleries, research collections, enjoy a snack in the café and relax in the lovely garden.
Admission is free and the the museum houses the most comprehensive national collection of objects, books and archives relating to the history of food, farming and the countryside.
The museum galleries and garden were also recently redeveloped thanks to Heritage Lottery funding.

TimeTrap Escape Rooms
Friar Street, Reading RG1 1DB
TimeTrap Escape Rooms is Reading's award winning 5 star rated immersive escape room venue.
This is a slightly different style escape room where game players are sent back in time to rewrite the history with yourself as the hero!
Players also must be aged 12 or over but according to one reviewer, this escape room is best suited to families with older children.
They said: "We did Imaginarium 1863 as a family group, with a 12 year old and a 13 year old. Having done Time Trap's other two rooms, I'd say this is the one best suited to families with older children.
"The boys particularly enjoyed the more physical puzzles."
Escape Hunt Reading
Believe it or not, more escape rooms feature on Tripadvisor's top five things to do with children during the half-term.
Escape Hunt Reading features 5-star rated escape rooms, a luxury lounge and VIP amenities.
You can get locked in and let the adrenaline flow as you race against time to crack the clues and escape the room.
Again, this activity is great fun for groups, team building and for families.
Deadlocked Escape Rooms
Castle Hill, Reading RG1 7RJ England
Trapped in a themed room with just your team and your wits, you are tasked with finding the clues, solving the puzzles and escaping the room.
It seems families love an escape room in Reading because four out of five things to do was an escape room!
According to Trip Advisor, Deadlocked Escape Rooms will bring you and your team closer together to give you an adventure.
