A Wokingham man has been slapped with a £2,000 bill after his dog injured a woman last year.
Sukhvinder Takhar, of Reading Road, Winnersh in Wokingham, admitted to being the owner of 18-month-old Pablo, a South African Mastiff, while it was ‘dangerously out of control’.
The pet injured a woman in Wokingham on March 1, 2020 and in doing so landed Takhar at Slough Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.

Here, he was fined £1,000 for his dog’s actions.
He was also told to pay the woman compensation of £1,100.
In addition to this, Takhar was hit with court costs amounting to an extra £185.

The 51-year-old was told his dog would be destroyed unless it attends an appropriate dog behavioural course within three months of its release from kennels.
Pablo must also be kept on a lead when out in a public place and must be led by someone older than 16-years-old.
Takhar appeared at Slough Magistrates’ Court on August 3, 2021.
