A MAN has been charged over the weekend after an assault took place in Reading last week.
Gary Cresswell, aged 31, of Sandringham Way, Calcot, was charged on Sunday, August 15, with grievous bodily harm.

The charge comes after it was found that, around 11.30pm on Tuesday, August 10, a man in his forties had been assaulted on Oxford Road, Reading.
Cresswell has been remanded in custody and will be appearing in court on a date not yet confirmed.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "A man has been charged in connection with an assault that occurred in Reading.
"Gary Cresswell, aged 31, of Sandringham Way, Calcot, was charged on Sunday (15/8) with section 20 grievous bodily harm.

"It is in connection with an incident that happened at around 11.30pm on Tuesday 10 August in Oxford Road, in which the victim, a man in his forties, was assaulted.
"The victim remains in hospital.
"Cresswell has been remanded in custody to appear in court on a date yet to be confirmed."
