DRIVERS have been slapped with parking tickets for blocking footpaths in a neighbourhood in Reading.
Thames Valley Police' neighbourhood team were out in full force yesterday issuing fines to drivers in Salcombe Road and Staverton Road.
Officers were patrolling the area yesterday morning (Sunday, August 22) when they came across a number of cars parked on the footpaths.

Police said these cars were blocking the paths and junctions causing issues in the area.
As a result, 10 tickets were issued to drivers 'reminding people to park sensibly and safely'.

Officers said: "There has been an increase of vehicles causing obstructions to the footpaths and junctions. A total of 10 tickets were issued this morning reminding people of the importance of parking sensibly and safely."
