Reading FC are currently in talks with Premier League winning midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
Drinkwater was an integral part of Leicester City's miraculous title-winning side in 2015-16.
He moved to Chelsea and has seen his career falter following his move to West London.
The 31-year-old, who has three England caps, has been on loan three times since he moved to the Champions League holders.
Drinkwater has enjoyed spells with Burnley, Aston Villa and most recently Kasımpaşa.
The Royals are hoping to bring Drinkwater to the club on a one-year deal.
Drinkwater's Chelsea team mate, Baba Rahman, joined the club on loan yesterday.
The Royals will be hoping for some generosity from Chelsea as they attempt to strike a deal which would see Drinkwater's parent club pay the majority of his wages.
