The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates' Court
June 7
ADRIAN GRAHAM, 43, of Bath Road, Reading, convicted of possession of an offensive weapon, namely a swordstick, in a public place, namely Elvaston Way in Reading, on June 30, 2019. Committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 18 months due to the severity of the offence. Ordered to pay £322 in court fees.
AMR SALEM, 35, of Park Way, Newbury, convicted of causing criminal damage to a property, namely a window belonging to Anytime Fitness, in Newbury on May 25, 2020. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £583.70 in compensation. Ordered to pay £222 in court fees.
June 8
UMAR MAHMOOD, 33, of Basingstoke Road, Reading, admitted failing to surrender to custody at Reading Magistrates’ Court on June 2, 2021. Fined £100.
NICOLA BROOKS, 45, of Flyingdales, Thatcham, admitted drink driving on Coombe Court, Thatcham on December 13, 2020. Caught with 168 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml. Committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 24 months due to the severity of the offence. Ordered to pay £213 in court fees and banned from driving for 60 months.
NATHANIEL COKER, 19, of Dene Way, Newbury, admitted two counts of theft from a shop, two counts of criminal damage to a property, namely windows at Tesco Extra on Portman Road, Reading, and three counts of assault by beating in Reading on January 28 and February 9, 2021. Community order made. Defendant told to take part in up to 30 rehabilitation activity days. Ordered to pay £200 compensation and £180 in court fees.
JAROSLAW KOLODZIEJ, 39, of Shinfield Road, Reading, admitted driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance on Wilderness Road, Reading, on October 30, 2020. Community order made. Ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay £180 in court fees and banned from obtaining a driving licence for 20 months.
LILLIE SIMMONDS, 19, of Kings Road, Caversham, admitted driving under the influence of cannabis on Langley Hill, Tilehurst on November 28, 2020. Also admitted driving without insurance on the same date. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge. Banned from driving for 12 months.
ALAN KELLY, 31, of Pigeons Farm Road, Thatcham, admitted driving under the influence of ketamine on Hambridge Road, Newbury, on November 21, 2020. Fined £500 and told to pay £135 in court fees. Banned from driving for 12 months.
AHMED HAMID, 23, of London Road, Reading, admitted two counts of driving without a licence, two counts of driving without insurance, driving using a trailer with the ply/cord exposed, obstructing a police constable in the execution of their duty in Reading on October 19, 2020, in Wokingham on October 21, 2020 and in Woodley on October 21, 2020. Fined £450 and ordered to pay £140 in court fees. Banned from obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
June 9
GEMMA HOPKINS, 34, of Wickford Way, Earley, Reading, admitted outraging public decency, namely by stripping naked and dancing outside Reading Police Station on June 8, 2021. Also admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer in Wokingham on June 9, 2021, by spitting at him. Committed to prison for eight weeks due to the severity of the latter offence. Ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge.
SCOTT HALL, 28, of Eltham Avenue, Caversham, Reading, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Reading on September 18, 2020. Community order made. Defendant to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £650 in compensation and £85 in court fees.
DARREN SNAREY, 41, of Salcombe Road, Reading, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Reading on January 13, 2021. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £150 compensation. Told to pay £119 in court fees.
MANVIR SANDHU, 18, of Cromwell Road, Reading, admitted drink driving on Grovelands Road, Reading, on September 25, 2020. Caught with 185 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 80mg per 100ml. Community order made. Defendant told to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay £180 in court fees. Banned from driving for 20 months.
JAMES THOMAS, 27, of Thirlmere Avenue, convicted of wo counts of assault by beating in Reading on April 4, 2020. Community order made. Requirement to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay £50 in compensation and £90 in victim surcharge.
June 10
DAVID GARTH, 49, of Wensley Road, Reading, admitted assault by beating in Maidenhead on November 25, 2020. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £119 in court fees.
OWEN NYAKUWANIKWA, 28, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted possession of a class B drug, cannabis in Reading on December 30, 2020. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, made to pay £107 in court fees.
DARREN FORDYCE, 48, of Badgers Rise, Woodley, Reading, admitted driving under the influence of cocaine on Chalfont Way, Lower Earley, on December 11, 2020. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £119 in court fees. Banned from driving for 12 months.
JERMAINE WALKER, 37, of Woodwood Lane, Whitley, Reading, convicted of attempted theft from a shop, and two counts of assault by beating in Reading on January 22, 2020. Committed to prison for 26 weeks due to the severity of the offence. Ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge.
June 11
DANIEL BANHAM, 21, of Manor Lane, Thatcham, admitted driving under the influence of cocaine and cannabis, driving without insurance and assaulting a police officer off Old Newton Road in Newbury on July 7, 2018. Committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 18 months due to the severity of the offence. Ordered to pay £150 compensation, a £115 victim surcharge and £300 in court costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
JOSEPH CARROL, 27, of Ashburton Road, Reading, admitted harassment without violence and criminal damage to a front door in Reading on March 14, 2021. Committed to prison for eight weeks due to the severity of the offence. Ordered to pay £57.46 in compensation and told to pay £228 in court fees.

TERESA JOYCE, 45, of Hurst Road, Twyford, admitted assault by beating in Slough on May 3, 2021. Fined £100, ordered to pay compensation of £50 and told to pay court fees of £119.
June 14
TOBY ASHRAF, 19, of Alexandra Road, admitted causing criminal damage to a property, namely a window at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, using threatening behaviour to cause distress, and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker in Reading on April 23, 2021. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 20 rehabilitation activity days. Fined £184 and ordered to pay compensation of £750. Told to pay £180 in court fees.
MARTYN SMITH, 31, of Vauxhall Drive, Woodley, Reading, admitted assault by beating in Bracknell on January 10, 2021. Community order made. Requirement to take part part in up to 20 rehabilitation activity days. Ordered to pay compensation of £400 and court fees of £180.
NEIL AKHTAR, 35, of Kingsley Close, Reading, admitted failing to co-operate with a field impairment test in Reading on December 8, 2020. Also admitted possession of cannabis in Reading on the same date. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £134 in court fees.
STEPHEN PEACOCK, 50, of Southampton Street, Reading, admitted breaching a community order requirement on two occasions in March and April 2021. Handed a one-week curfew and ordered to pay court costs of £60.
DANIEL JARRETT, 48, of Kentwood Hill, Tilehurst, Reading, admitted breaching a community order requirement on two occasions in April 2021. Ordered to pay court costs of £60.
June 15
TEODOR SAVA, 32, of Pantile Close, Reading, admitted drink driving on Calcot Place Drive in Reading on November 21, 2020. Caught with 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml. Community order made. Requirement to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. Order to pay £180 in court costs. Banned from driving for 25 months.
EUGENIJUS DRAZDAUSKAS, 38, of George Street, Reading, admitted drink driving on the A329M in Wokingham on May 20, 2021. Caught with 122 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml. Community order made. Requirement to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. Order to pay £134 in court fees. Banned from driving for 32 months.
