A gang of between 15 and 20 men robbed and assaulted another group of six with glass bottles.
The six victims, also male, were approached by five men in Broad Street at 11.30pm on Tuesday, who were then joined by between 10 to 15 more.
The larger group inflicted cuts, bruises and a dislocated knee on the victims, as well as stealing one man’s phone and wallet, at the junction with Union Street.
The offenders were described as teenagers, wearing dark clothing, holding glass bottles.
