A SECURITY alert was triggered at Newbury train station this morning.
National Rail said trains were 'unable to call or stop at Newbury station due to a security alert'.
Passengers were told to walk to Newbury Racecourse and connect with the service there.
One resident said in a community Facebook group that the security alert was over a 'suspect package' but nothing has been confirmed with the authorities.

Trains services have now resumed.
