A WOMAN in her 20s was raped in the Reading Minster churchyard grounds, police have confirmed.
Thames Valley Police launched an investigation into a rape that happened in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, September 12.
Forensic officers scoured the graveyard and churchyard as shoppers walked by in the town centre.

A police cordon was in place from St Mary's Butts, Chain Street and Gun Street and was lifted by the afternoon.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the victim is a woman in her 20s.
A 22-year-old man from Nottingham was also arrested on suspicion of rape.
He has now been released on bail.
