A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Reading after a body was found in London.
Thames Valley Police officers launched an investigation on August 24 after receiving a report that someone had gone missing from the Reading area.
On Wednesday, the body of a person was discovered in Erith, in southeast London.
The person’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
On Thursday evening, a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.
