Windsor FC have announced the signing of Reading FC legend James Harper.
The 40-year-old was a crucial part of the Royals record-breaking squad that saw Steve Coppell lead the club to the Premier League for the first time in 2005-06, accumulating a staggering 106 points along the way.ย
Harper has been plying his trade in non-league for a number of years and most recently represented Uxbridge, before signing on the dotted line at Stag Meadows on Thursday.ย

Windsor FC manager Mark Cooper told the official club website: โAbsolutely delighted to sign Harps, heโll bring great experience and a real touch of class to the side whilst heโs someone the other players can certainly learn an awful lot from.โ
The midfielder signed for the Royals in 2001 and played for the club for eight years, including making 76 appearances in the Premier League for the club.ย
