Reading FC captain Liam Moore has taken to Instagram to release an update on his injury sustained in Tuesday's win over Peterborough United at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Moore hobbled off the pitch before the break after a nasty challenge and was replaced by Tom Holmes.
The captain then left the stadium on crutches, with manager Veljko Paunovic saying in his post-match interview that it did not appear to be a 'simple injury'.
However, Moore has now undergone a scan on his ankle which fortunately has revealed that the injury is not as bad as first feared.

On Instagram, Moore wrote: "Counting my blessings my injury isn't as bad as it could have been. Just another bump in the road.
"Sometimes things don't go how you want them to. It's frustrating and hurts but one things for sure, you have to be positive and resilient in this game.
"Back soon."
Moore is expected to miss Saturday's trip to West London to face high-flying Fulham at Craven Cottage.
