A NEWBURY woman has been banned from Sainsbury’s for six months after stealing groceries worth more than £1,400.
Beverley Emery, of Boundary Road, Newbury, admitted to nine counts of theft from the Newbury supermarket.
The 38-year-old stole items worth £1,406.09 over a one-month period from September 8 to October 10, 2020.

Appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 9, Emery was handed a community order.
A requirement of this order is that the 38-year-old does not enter Sainsbury’s on Hector’s Way in Newbury for a period of six months.

She was given the order after receiving a conditional discharge for stealing alcohol from Marks and Spencer in Newbury in October 2019.
Emery was told to pay a £95 victim surcharge when she appeared in court earlier this month.
