Gordon Ramsay’s new Reading restaurant opens today and they’re giving away 1,000 free burgers.
The chain, Gordon Ramsay's Street Burger, will open on the Oracle Riverside and offer the burgers on a first-come first-served basis.
Located next to Zizzi’s, this is only the second Street Burger restaurant outside of London. Online the opening hours are listed as 11.30am to 12.30am.
Andy Wenlock, CEO, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants said: “Gordon and I are delighted to bring our Street Burger restaurant to Reading and The Oracle is the perfect location.
The team are looking forward to serving up our signature burgers, fries and shakes to our guests."
The freebies are ‘O.G.R burgers’: a mix of Hereford beef, smoked cheese, house relish and salad – with a vegetarian option available.
Ramsay, known for his fiery temper on Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, replaces Giraffe with his new restaurant.
Andy Briggs, General Manager, The Oracle said: “The concept of Street Burger is perfect for our customers.
"This is a new restaurant, which understands and caters to our younger customers who want quality food when dining out with friends.
"Street Burger will be a popular stop after shopping, watching a movie at the cinema or getting involved in the numerous events and experiences we hold at The Oracle.
"We are really excited that they’ve opened.”
All burgers at the joint cost £15, served with seasoned fries and unlimited soft drink.
Aside from the O.G.R, these include:
- Hell’s Kitchen Burger: Beef, Jalapeno and Pedron Salsa, smoked Sriracha sauce and smoked cheese
- Where’s the Lamb Burger? Herwick lamb patty, mint yogurt, roasted piquillo peppers
- #Bae Burger: Beef, smoked cheese, treacle-cured bacon, over easy egg and tomato relish
- J.F.C Burger: Jocky’s fried chicken, chilli buttermilk chicken, smoked cheese, hash brown, iceberg, jfc sauce
