The driver of the Saab failed to provide details to the other driver and left the scene.
It was reported that the driver of the Saab might have been driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officers traced the owner of the Saab, and found this to be Sandra Edwards, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, who appeared to be intoxicated.
Edwards was arrested, but in custody failed to provide a specimen for analysis. She was released under investigation and charged by postal notification on 24 April 2020.
Investigating officer PC Matthew Fairman, based at Reading police station, said: “Failing to provide a specimen for analysis will not help you if you are suspected of being under the influence of drink or drugs, you will be charged and prosecuted by the courts.

“Drink and drug driving is one of the fatal four and driving whilst under the influence vastly increases your chances of being involved in a road traffic collision with serious consequences.
“I hope that this conviction and sentencing serves as a timely reminder to people of the dangers of drink and drug driving, it really isn’t worth the risk.”
Edwards was sentenced to an 18 month driving ban and ordered to pay more than £900 in costs and fines.
