The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates' Court:
August 3
SEBASTIAN ZADURA, 35, of Duke Street, Reading, convicted of theft from a shop, namely stealing four bottles of wine worth £75 in Reading on February 23, 2021 from Marks and Spencer in Reading. Fined £120 and must pay £75 in compensation and £809 in court fees.
August 4
DWAYNE BENNETT, 35, of Heroes Walk, Whitley Wood, Reading, admitted possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, in Reading on December 30, 2020. Fined £100 and must pay a £34 victim surcharge.
ROWAN MEEK, 40, of Duke Street, Reading, admitted using violence to secure entry to a premises in Maidenhead on November 21, 2020. Also admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker in Maidenhead on the same date. Conditional discharge for 12 months. Must pay £30 compensation.
MILLS MCGILLIVRAY, 49, of Hatford Road, Reading, admitted theft by finding, namely a set of keys, on Rose Kiln Lane, Reading, on April 17, 2020. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 25 rehabilitation activity days. Must pay compensation of £371.40.
WARREN STOKES, 40, of Fellmet Avenue, Tilehurst, admitted common assault of an emergency worker and assault by beating in Reading on September 13, 2020. Committed to prison for ten weeks suspended for 12 months as defendant ‘spat at police officer during a global pandemic.’ Must pay compensation of £100 and court costs of £85.
KAMRAN HUSSAIN, 32, of Wokingham Road, Reading, admitted assault by beating in Reading on January 7, 2021. Fined £346 and must pay compensation of £100 and court fees of £120.
JAGJIT GILL, 43, of Reading Road, Woodley, admitted failing to stop a vehicle when required, using a motor vehicle in a condition likely to cause danger or injury, namely a BMW X4 with the cord exposed on the front tyres, and driving under the influence of cannabis on Reading Road, Woodley, on November 26, 2019. Banned from driving for 12 months. Fined £500 and order to pay £550 in court fees.
August 5
RYAN MIKOSZ, 26, of Russell Street, Reading, admitted possession of a knife, namely an auto-lock locking knife, on Oxford Road, Reading, on February 10, 2021. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 15 rehabilitation activity days. Must pay £180 in court fees.
August 6
JAYDEN CARTER, 24, of Kensington Road, Reading, admitted driving a vehicle under the influence of cannabis, cocaine and MDMA on Turners Hill, Cheshunt, on November 21, 2020. Banned from driving for 24 months. Community order made. Requirement to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £180 in court fees.
DANIEL SHORTER, 35, of Northumberland Avenue, Reading, admitted failing to provide a blood sample when requested, driving without a licence and driving without insurance in Wokingham on April 4, 2020. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities. Must pay £690 in court fees.
LEE CORFIELD, 36, of Russell Street, Reading, convicted of convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a train fare in Reading on March 15, 2021. Fined £440 and must pay compensation of £3.00. Ordered to pay £224 in court fees.
DALE LALLY, 37, of Beecham Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a train fare in reading on March 11, 2021. Fined £440 and must pay compensation of £3.00. Ordered to pay £224 in court fees.
SAMANTHA MCDADE, 35, of Anstey Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a train fare in Reading on March 12, 2021. Fined £440 and must pay compensation of £19.80. Ordered to pay £224 in court fees.
CHARLIE MCGINLEY, 45, of Zinzan Street, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a train fare in Theale on March 16, 2021. Fined £440 and must pay compensation of £6.40. Ordered to pay £224 in court fees.
