A man was assaulted in an attempted robbery outside a Reading restaurant in Kings Road.
Two men got out of a silver car in the middle of Abbey Square and assaulted the victim near Madras Flavours at around 1pm on Monday, leaving him bruises and grazes.
A 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man from Wokingham were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and have since been released on police bail.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Emma Pointon, based at Slough police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.
“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210469940.
