READING FC'S lack of cutting edge saw them slump to their third defeat on the bounce with a 2-0 loss against Championship high-flyers AFC Bournemouth.
Here's how we rated the players tonight:
Southwood: 5/10 - Could have done better with the second goal but poor positioning let him down.
Yiadom: 7/10 – Reading’s stand-out performer tonight. Great energy going forward and created several openings.
Moore: Made some decent blocks and was unlucky not to stop Cherries’ opener from crossing the line.
Dann: 6/10 – Made a really crucial block in the first half to keep the score at 0-0 at the time. Reads the game so well and his experience will be invaluable for Reading this season.
Rahman: 6/10 – Really struggled to contain Ryan Christie who was a constant thorn in Royals’ side.
Laurent: 5/10 – Not a great display from the ex-Shrewsbury man. Made some poor decisions on the ball, particularly when he blasted a shot over the crossbar instead of threading Puscas through on goal.
Drinkwater: 5/10 - Had a very stand-out poor moment in the game when he carelessly gifted the ball to Jamal Lowe who punished Royals with aplomb.
Dele-Bashiru: 6/10 - Not his best performance by a country mile. Seemed to struggle to really get involved with the game today and lacked the attacking threat he often poses.
Swift: 7/10 – Should have had multiple assists – including a wonderful Rabona cross – but was let down by poor finishing by his teammates.
Ejaria: 6/10 – Showed some silky footwork at times but lacked that killer pass in the final third.
Puscas: 5/10 – Reading crested countless chances for the Romanian international striker who really should have buried at least two of them. With better finishing, Royals probably would have gone on to win the game.
