KFC have teased an opening date for a new store in Reading.
Hiring posts for fast-food restaurant have appeared in the windows of a shop in Chalfont Way, Earley.
A KFC spokesperson said: “Fear not people of Earley, the wait is almost over. The Colonel is coming to town this December - but we can’t reveal too much more just yet. Watch this space.”

A franchisee of the chain, Haider Zaman, obtained advertising consent for KFC branding at Lower Earley District Centre in October last year but this was not acted on until now.
KFC had kept the new restaurant under wraps, stating just last month that they could not confirm the plans, but this did not stop speculation on local Facebook groups.
At present the closest KFC to Earley is in Shinfield Road, but it looks like residents might have one on their doorstep before Christmas.
