A Reading FC player has been told to appear in court after he was caught speeding earlier this year.
Jokull Andresson, of Rushley Way, Reading, is an Icelandic goalkeeper currently out on loan at Morecambe FC.
Prior to his spell in Lancaster, the 20-year-old joined Exeter City on loan in January 2021.
Absolutely delighted to have signed my pro contract with @ReadingFC. There is no other club I would like to be for the next 2 years. And I can’t wait to start my loan with @HungerfordTown... It is going to be challenging but that’s what it is all about🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ pic.twitter.com/FsBHLoQe1b

One month later, in February 2021, the goalkeeping star was caught exceeding the speed limit on a 30mph road in Exeter.
Court documents do not indicate how fast the youngster was going.
However, the files disclose that Andresson was driving a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C200 -- a car that costs upwards of £20,000 according to used car sites.
The Icelandic shot-stopper did not appear for a court hearing at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, October 30.

Andresson pleaded guilty based on a Single Justice Procedure, which means cases involving adults charged with minor offences can be dealt with by a single magistrate on the basis of the papers alone without either party having to attend court for the hearing.
A dream come true yesterday... What an experience to play a team a like that with the 1st team, something I I’ll never forget, gutted to not get the win but a big s/o to the Reading fans that travelled👊🏼 Give it all out now in the last days here in Spain🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ @ReadingFC pic.twitter.com/JAikYLBJ6A

Despite this, the Royals’ up-and-comer has been told to appear at Avon & Somerset Magistrates' Court on December 21 following an undisclosed request from his defence counsel.
In July 2021, Andresson signed a new three-year contract with Reading, keeping him at the Select Car Leasing Stadium until 2024.
As part of this deal, he agreed to spend the 2021/2022 season on loan at Morecambe FC.
He moved to Berkshire and signed for the Royals in summer 2018.
