A MAN has been found stabbed in Reading in the early hours.
Thames Valley Police said the man was found with stab wounds by members of the public at 3.50am today (Nov 11).
The victim, a man in his thirties, was found at the junction of Brayford Road and Lulworth Road.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. The force said the incident is not being linked to the fatal Halloween stabbing of Reece Heffernan.
A 33-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He is currently in police custody at this time.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Maggie Bruce, of Reading CID, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation into a man who has been stabbed.
“I would appeal to anyone or saw or heard anything in the vicinity of Brayford Road and Lulworth Road last night or in the early hours of today, to contact the police.
“If anyone has any footage, whether dashcam, doorbell camera, CCTV or mobile phone, from the area then also please come forward.

“Alternatively, you can contact the charity, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“I want to reassure the public that this incident is not being linked to the tragic murder of Reece Heffernan in Romany Lane, in the town on Halloween.”
