A man required hospital treatment after being assaulted outside a kebab van near Reading.
Police were called to The Broadway in Thatcham at 11.45pm on Saturday after reports a white man in his fifties had punched and kicked the victim to the floor, injuring his face.
Police are appealing for witnesses, describing the offender as wearing jeans and a dark puffer jack.

Investigating officer PC Rachael Hall, based at Newbury police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed this assault to please get in touch.

“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43210490708.
“Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
