POTHOLES are one of drivers biggest pet peeves causing a massive risk to motorists on the roads.
In March, Reading Borough Council approved plans to fix more potholes committing £9m to road and footway improvement works.
A six-month trial was launched, reducing the threshold for pothole repairs from 50mm to 40mm deep.
The pledge saw potholes with a depth of 50mm or more and which cover an area of at least 300mm x 300mm to be fixed.

But according to Fix My Street, a tool which allows residents to report to their local authority problems needing their attention, such as potholes, broken streetlamps and dog fouling.
People were reporting pothole issues to the council in October using the Fix My Street tool.
On Sidmouth Street, a user posted about there being potholes 'all along road'.
Another said there was a pothole outside a house in Amblecote Road.
