1. ‘Love affair feud led to fatal attack’
A love affair sparked a feud which culminated in four men attacking and fatally stabbing a Tilehurst man metres from his home in February, a court has heard.
Four men from Reading are now standing trial charged with the murder of Raheem Hanif and causing grievous bodily harm to his father, Abdul Hanif.

2. Four more arrested after Halloween stabbing bringing total to 11
Four more men and women were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of Reece Heffernan on Halloween.
Police have arrested a total of 11 suspects after Mr Heffernan died from a stab wound to the chest in Romany Lane, Tilehurst.

3. Woman rescued from River Kennet
A woman was rescued by firefighters after passersby held her head above water.
The incident happened at 11.30am on Monday, November 8, where crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended County Lock in Reading town centre.

4. Man charged with GBH following Whitley stabbing
A 33-year-old Reading man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Sunday.
A man in his thirties was found with stab wounds by members of the public at the junction of Brayford Road and Lulworth Road, Reading, in the early hours of November 7.

Reading’s Winter Wonderland will be going ahead despite the protests of some neighbours.
The town’s Winter Wonderland, in Hills Meadow, Caversham, is centred around an ice rink but also features rides and attractions, food, Christmas stalls and a Santas’ Grotto.
