Yet more roadworks are set to disrupt traffic on the Oxford Road next week.
The busy carriageway has been marred by roadworks for weeks with frustrated drivers stuck in queues as various projects take place.
And now the eastern stretch of Oxford Road (closest to the town centre) will be closed for eight days as surfacing works are set to get underway.
Information on Reading Borough Council’s website indicates the works will affect Bedford Road, Chatham Street, Beresford Road and Russell Street as well.

It is believed the closure will commence on Monday, November 15 and last until November 23.
The project is part of a £9 million council road and footway improvement scheme, which will see up to a third of Reading’s roads completely resurfaced.
Other parts of Oxford Road are currently being worked on for other projects.

Multi-way traffic control signals are currently in place near the McDonald’s restaurant for Reading West Station works and are expected to continue until the end of November having started in mid-August.
And further down Oxford Road, towards Tilehurst, more traffic signals are in place to accommodate work being carried out by CityFibre.
