HUNDREDS of residents came out to pay their respects to those who haven given their lives for the UK on Remembrance Sunday.
Reading fell silent for two minutes at 11am after a parade spearheaded by community figures paraded through the town.
Locals lined the streets to applaud serving and ex-military personnel as they made their way to Forbury Gardens on Sunday, November 14.
AS IT HAPPENED: Berkshire remembers fallen soldiers
The parade started on St Mary's Butts following a service at Reading Minster at 10am.
Participants marched along Broad Street and through Market Place to Forbury Gardens.
At the Gardens' war memorial, poems were read as crowds gathered to bow their heads and pay their respects to our fallen troops.
Community leaders and servicemen from across the local area were watched by hundreds as they laid wreaths at the conclusion of the ceremony.
