Robbers fractured a man’s jaw and stole his wallet in Reading on Thursday.
A gang of men attacked the victim in Elgar Road South, at the junction with Basingstoke Road, pulling him into a headlock before hitting him in the face.
He fell to the floor and the group stole his wallet and phone before leaving him in need of hospital treatment at around 9.30pm.
The victim, in his thirties, was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment of his jaw and other injuries to his face and knees.

The men were described as around 20-years-old with British accents and one of them was on a push bike.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Adam Ruddlesden, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who may have information about this incident to please get in touch.
