A man who was found dead in his home was "taken away too soon", his family has said.
David Allen, 77, was found with stab wounds to his chest in his home in Elgar Road, Reading on Wednesday, December 1.
His family said he will be missed and was 'tragically taken away from us too soon."
A 37-year-old man from Reading, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.

Mr Allen’s family are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.
In a tribute to Mr Allen his family said 'those we love don’t go away."
In a statement released by Thames Valley Police, they said: "Our Dad, Grandad, Brother and Hero was tragically taken away from us too soon.

"They walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, .
"Thank you for all the lovely support from all our family and friends. Mark, Phil and family X"
