A fundraiser has been launched for a woman whose home and all her possessions were destroyed in a fire that burned through a Reading block of flats.
The blaze killed one person and two more are missing, as well as leaving the four-story building in Rowe Court unstable and damaging numerous people’s homes.
One of those homes belonged to Alina, whose friends have raised almost £1,700 for in an online campaign.
“Alina has helped so many of her friends therefore I’d love to repay the favour in her time of most need,” wrote friend Chloe Spiller.
“Alina didn’t ask for any help so she deserves a little Christmas spirit.
“Any donation is greatly appreciated.”
Pictures show huge structural damage caused by the fire, which started at 3am and took fifty firefighters to quell at its height.

A witness to the fire, who did not want to be named, said: “The building has been really badly damaged, parts of the roof have been torn off, windows are smashed and smoke has been coming out of it for hours.”
Those who know Alina have been quick to donate and offer words of support.
Allan Bahati wrote: “Alina, sending you support because you're always an inspiring person. You've battled through so much adversity, and even despite this situation, you're still a champion.”

Holly Montgomery said: “By pulling together we can make anything happen. Thinking of you and sending you strength to get through this challenging time.”
The source of the ignition is still unknown but police confirmed the incident was not related to terrorism.
A 31-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of arson and murder and remains in police custody.
Elizabeth Dylewska, who lives near Rowe Court, said: “How many people lost their houses before Christmas? It’s very sad.”
