THREE ‘masked men’ entered a house late on Christmas Eve in an incident that led to an altercation with the occupants, police say.
The offenders fled the scene in a white van which was later recovered by police.
No arrests have been made following the incident and officers are investigating the incident.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police was called at around 7.50pm on Christmas Eve (24/12) to a report of a burglary in Rufus Isaacs Road, Caversham.

“Three offenders had entered the property and were involved in an altercation with two occupants inside.
“The offenders then left and made off in a white van, which has since been recovered.
“No arrests have been made at this time.
“An investigating is ongoing.

One of the occupants, who spoke to the Chronicle, said: “Although everything is returning to normal, this has put me and my sister on edge. We were very lucky.”
A Facebook post from a relative of one of the occupants appears to show a video of the white van fleeing the scene.
The post suggested the ‘three masked men’ were wearing balaclavas at the time of the incident.
