A new kebab restaurant could be opening in Reading after planning permission is submitted.
At the site of the former China Palace, which closed its doors in 2017 after it was found to be in violation of several food safety measures, Doner and Gyros are looking to expand into Berkshire.
With current sites in Aylesbury and London, the chain also has takeaways in America, Saudi Arabia, and India.
Available on Deliveroo and JustEat, the company have said: “If you want to taste the best Doner in town, you should try Doners and Gyros's salivating kebabs, and their other sumptuous dishes suited for your cravings.
Rated four and a half stars out of five on JustEat, the Ayslesbury branch has gone down well with most customers.
One customer said: "Nice food will order again" while another enthused "What a great place. Food exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended."
Advertisment consent has also been submitted for one fascia with halo illuminated "Doner & Gyros" lettering and one aluminium projecting sign with internally illuminated perspex letters.
The consultation period ends 12 January, with more information found here.
