A JURY is set to decide a Caversham man’s fate after he denied touching himself inappropriately in a skate park.
John Biggins, of Star Road, has been charged with outraging public decency following an incident in which he is accused of “behaving in an indecent manner.”
The 70-year-old is accused of “masturbating under clothing whilst watching children at a skate park” in Reading on June 14, 2020.
Appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 12, Biggins pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Biggins’ defence counsel, Mr Phillips, said this case was “not complicated” and could be dealt with by the Magistrates’ Court.
However, the Caversham man indicated his preference for a trial by jury.
District Judge Kathryn Verghis told Biggins he is required to appear at Reading Crown Court for a hearing on February 15.
Biggins was unconditionally bailed following the hearing.
