A driver who had taken cocaine and their three passengers are facing deportation after being pulled over by police in Reading.
Two had arrived in the UK hidden in the back of a lorry, one had previously been arrested for immigration offences and the driver’s immigration application had been declined, Thames Valley Police said.
The driver had no licence or insurance for the Mercedes and tested positive for cocaine in a roadside drugs wipe.

“All four are now spending some time in our cells awaiting for Immigration officers to attend and speak to each of them and decide on the next best course of action, which could include deportation back to their home country,” Thames Valley Police posted on Facebook, adding that they were from Albania.

The force stopped the car in Shinfield Road on Sunday after it was shown not to be insured on the police system.
They arrested to the occupants of the vehicle after phoning the Home Office and the car was seized.
