Age UK have relocated their Reading office to Broad Street Mall.
Mayor Rachel Eden cut the ribbon to open the service at 2pm on Tuesday, which used to operate from London Street.
The charity supports older people with advice on benefits, making friends, dementia and activity groups.
“We were absolutely thrilled. We’re already getting a number of people come through the door and asking us if they’ve got concerns,” said a spokesperson for Age UK.

“The whole point of us moving was to be more in the heart of the community that we support.”
She continued: “The office is a base for us as an organisation but it’s also got some space where people can come in and talk to us about any problems or concerns or seek any advice they need.
The office is open from Monday to Thursday between 10am and 3pm.
