A FLORSITRY business in Reading is celebrating after picking up an award at The Wedding Industry Awards.

The company, which has been running since 2004, won best Wedding Florist in the South Central Region.

Sonning Flowers is now entered into the National Finals which will be held at the Shakespeare Globe on Friday, February 23 in London.

It comes just six months after the business won at the Muddy Stilettos Awards for 2021, being named Best Florist in Berkshire.

Heather Reilly, owner, said: “We are absolutely delighted. We just can't believe it! It’s the icing on the cake after winning the Best Florist in Berkshire at the Muddy Stilettos Awards for 2021. We couldn’t have dreamed of winning another award 6 months later!

"I personally also need to say a HUGE thank you to the Sonning Flowers Team. Behind the scenes at Sonning Flowers HQ, I have an incredible team of 7 staff.

"We’ve had back-to-back weddings since the restrictions were lifted and my team have worked so incredibly hard in a wedding season like no other. Winning two renowned awards in the last 6 months is the most incredible feeling and a great start to 2022 and the weddings we have ahead of us this year! "

The couples who voted for Sonning Flowers have also been thanked.

Heather added: "It's been a whirlwind time for our whole industry and the support we have received has been truly amazing from all of our wedding couples."
