Lovebirds have just one week to book a table for Valentine’s Day.
From Michelin recommended French cuisine to a relaxed bistro bar, there’s all manner of restaurants in Reading where you can treat your significant other.
Luckily for you we've narrowed them down to the top 10 most romantic based on Tripadvisor reviews.
1. Buenasado Argentine Steakhouse. This is a restaurant for steak lovers. The beef is sourced from Las Pampas and cooked on a barbeque grill before being paired with the most appropriate wines.
2. Miller and Carter. More steak. Yes it’s a chain, but the reviews speak for themselves. After 2,803 ratings, the Reading branch has achieved 4.5 out of 5 stars on Tripadvisor.
3. The Corn Stores. If you like exposed beams and aesthetically-arranged plates, The Corn Stores is your bag. They also dry-age their own steaks, smoke their own salmon and barrel-age their own spirits.

4. Buon Appetito. If you hadn’t already guessed, this is one of Reading’s best Italian restaurants, according to Tripadvisor. In fact, it’s rated 12th out of all the restaurants in the town.
5. London Street Brasserie. London Street Brasserie opened next to the river Kennet in 2000 and has since been recommended by the Michelin Guide. Customers raved about the scallops, lamb and vegetarian options.
6. Quattro. Challenging Buon Appetito for customers with a taste for Italian, Quattro has been described as a ‘cosy, clean and relaxing’ place with ‘absolutely brilliant’ waiters by reviewers. No wonder it has also received 4.5 out of 5..
7. L'Ortolan. If you’re happy to spend that little extra, this Shinfield restaurant has been by the Michelin Guide as featuring ‘Complex modern dishes let the true flavours of top quality ingredients shine through’. Its food is inspired by French and British influences.

8. Valpy Street Bar & Bistro. Nestled in a cellar in the heart of town, this modern street bar features an extensive selection of cocktails, wines and beers to compliment its food.
9. Thames Lido. You can look out over the swimming pool through floor-to-ceiling windows at these Edwardian swimming baths. Just making into the top 50 Reading restaurants at number 44, its an excellent location for Mediterranean and North African dishes.
10. "Piwnica" Restaurant. This central European eatery will be playing live music on Valentines Day to compliment it’s homemade food which one reviewer described as ‘tasty fresh and generous”.
