A woman has been taken to hospital in a ‘life-threatening condition’ after falling from a bridge above the Reading Inner Distribution Road this afternoon (February 16), according to reports.
Police, ambulances and an air ambulance rushed to the junction of Alfred Street and Oxford Road at around 1.30pm after the woman, approximately 30 years old, was seen by eyewitnesses sustaining multiple injuries.
The woman is being treated at the major trauma centre at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in a life-threatening condition, according to the South Central Ambulance Service.

Traffic was brought to a standstill and is still queueing on Caversham Road Southbound from A4155 / Vastern Road (TGI Fridays) to Chatham Street / Friar Street.
