A man was punched through the glass of a bus stop and beaten as he lay on the floor outside a Reading hotel.
The attacker, a 6ft stocky man, continued to repeatedly punch the victim and kick him in the face in Station Road, near Malmaison, at around 1am on Sunday (February 20).
The victim suffered injuries to his face and head and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for further treatment. He has since been discharged.
Police described the offender as black, around 45 years old and wearing a grey blazer with shiny grey, high ankle trainers.
He is said to have walked away with a woman towards Station Hill after the attack.

The woman is described as white, with shoulder length blond straight hair, wearing a thigh length black puffa jacket and black Converse trainers.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information about this incident should call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43220077607.
“Alternatively call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
