A 24-year-old man caught travelling to Reading without a train ticket must pay more than 13 times the price of the fare he didn’t buy.
Dominic Simmonds, of Casterbridge Road, Swindon, took a Great Western Railway train on July 26, 2021, without buying a £27 ticket.

At Reading Magistrates Court on February 4 he was fined £120 and ordered to pay for the ticket.
The judged ordered Simmonds to pay costs of £180 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.
Simmonds has until March 4 to pay the full sum of £361.
