THE MYSTERY behind a bizarre blood-spilling incident in Reading town centre has finally been solved.
The town was told of a ‘suspicious incident’ on Tuesday morning after police closed off part of Broad Street after a large splattering of blood was spotted on the ground.
And exclusive video footage obtained by the Chronicle showed a man spilling blood from a bucket on Broad Street at around 2am on February 22.

Splatters of the thick, red liquid were also found on Duke Street and Jackson’s Corner.
Police appealed for residents to come forward with any information they had about the man and his motives before tests showed that the blood could possibly have belonged to a ferret.

“The man has now been treated in hospital and his welfare has been clarified.
